Technology
Technology within the dental practice is expanding rapidly and it's often hard for us to know which are gimmicks and which are not. The equipment that we choose to use in our practice has been researched and tested by many clinicians. The benefits have been proven.
Diagnostic Laser
The use of a diagnostic laser can detect small areas of decay that we are unable to see with the naked eye. It's an invaluable tool when we practice dentistry at this micro-level.
Air Abrasion
Also known as drill free dentistry, uses tiny aluminium oxide particles, mixed with air to carefully prepare your tooth for a filling. This system removes decay and only the smallest slither of your tooth's structure therefore preserving as much of the healthy tooth as possible.
Intra Oral Camera
Using an intra oral camera we are able to see exactly what is happening in your mouth. When the camera is being used inside your mouth, the images will be shown on a screen so we can explain areas that we are looking at, any problems and what treatment is required.
Digital Radiography
With digital radiography an X-ray becomes an instant procedure. The radiation levels are kept at a minimum and we are able to view smaller areas with the use of the latest computer technology.
